APPLICATION FOR CERTIFICATE OF OCCUPANCY
Instructions
A. This application must be filled in typewriter OR ink, and submitted ~~ to the Building Inspec-
tor with the following; for new buildings or new use:
1. Final survey of property with accurate location of all buildings, property lines, streets, and unusual
natural or topographic features.
2.Final approval of Health Dept. of water supply and sewerage disposal-(S-9 form or equal).
3.Approval of electrical installation from Board of Fire Underwriters.
4. Commercial buildings, Industrial buildings, Multiple Residences and similar buildings and installa-
tions, a certificate of Code compliance from the Architect or Engineer responsible for the building.
5.Submit Planning Board approval of completed site plan requirements where applicable.
B. For existing buildings (prior to April 1957), Non-conforming uses, or buildings and "pre-existing"
land uses:
1. Accurate survey of p~operty showing all property lines, streets, buildings and unusual natural or
topographic features.
2.Sworn statement of owner or previous owner as to use, occupancy and condition of buildings.
3. Date of any housing code or safety inspection of buildings or premises, or other pertinent informa-
tion required to prepare a certificate.

The undersigned, being duly sworn, deposes and says as
follows:
I am the owner of the two car garage with dwelling
apartment on the second floor located at Smith Road, Peconic, New
York.
Since the Certificate of Occupancy dated June 20, 1977
there has been no construction, structural alteration or
renovation of said property.
To the best of my knowledge/~ll electrical systems are

The Chairman opened the hearing by reading the application
for a special exception, legal notice of hearing, affidavit
attesting to its publication in the official newspapers, and
notice to the applicant.
THE CHAIRMAN: Is there anyone present who wishes to speak
for this application?

After investigation and inspection tko Doard finds that
applicant requests permission to conduct a yard z~le on July
1972, rain date July 15, 1972 on property located on the no~.th
side of North Road (County Road 27), S0uthold, New York.
The Board finds that the public convenionce and welfar~ and
Justice will be served and the legally established or permitted
use of neighborhood property and adjoining use districts will
not be permanently or substantially injured and tho spirit of
the Ordinance will be observed.

Th property was purchased by my father in t~uo 30's. Our neighbor

an.~ built his house three or four foot from tho llne.

MR. WARD: 45 feet.
THE CHAIRMAN: You have two lots and yo~r neighbor built on

MR. DOROSKI: It would meet tho requir~.~'~,.onts of tho
DEl~artment. We think that the best way to situate the house
wo~ld be on the road side.
