Specifications are as follows: °a°.. O • (a) BULKHEAD RECONSTRUCTION: The existing bulkhead measures 175.0' ±in overall length, and is comprised of Timber Sheathing (2" x 9" T&G), Timber Walers (6" x 6" @ 2 tiers), Timber :Z Pilings (8" (P), Timber Top Cap (2" x 8"). The existing backing system is unknown. The new bulkhead will measure 175.0'±in overall length, and is to be comprised of Vinyl Sheathing(i.e., C- 'Z E Loc or similar), Timber Walers (6" x 6" @ 2 tiers), Timber Clamps (6" x 6" @ 2 tiers), Timber Pilings (8" (P), Timber Top Cap (2" x 18"), all tied via a Backing System consisting of Deadmen & Lay-Logs (6" CO). All backfill will be from the resultant excavation of the existing bulkhead and area of restorative dredging. No additional fill is planned to be deposited onto the property. bf `o bf (b) RESTORATIVE DREDGING: The section of underwater lands seaward of the existing bulkhead have built up to the point of being detrimental to boat navigation. Consequently, during the V v, N proposed bulkhead restoration, an area measuring 15.0' x 100.0' along the bulkhead is to be dredged (via back hoe from the uplands) to a underwater depth not to exceed-2.5' ± as measured 3 from ALW. The dredged lands will be utilized as backfill along the landward side of the bulkhead reconstruction. w o L_ 2 u (c) DOCK RECONSTRUCTION&RECONFIGURATION: The existing dockage consists of a cantilevered Platform(3'x 5'),a Hinged Ramp (2' x 10') and a Floating Dock(5' x 16'). The property < E had benefited from a Town of Southold Board of Trustees Permit(No. 464)permitting the maintenance approval to maintain existing dockage that consisted of a cantilevered Platform (4' x 4'), a Hinged Ramp (3' x 8'), Main Floating Dock (5' x 15') and Secondary Floating Dock (4' x 20'). The proposed reconstruction & reconfiguration is to consist of a cantilevered Platform (4' x 5'), two (2)Hinged Ramps (3' x 15' @ either side of the Platform) and two (2) Floating Docks (5' x 15' @ either end of each Hinged Ramp) secured by two (2) sets of Pilings per Floating Dock(4 total @ 8" (P). Proposed Vertical Stays (Metal Cables) are to be utilized to maintain the Floating Dock's elevation at a minimum of 2.5' above underwater grade. 5 A rig A U ------------------------------------------------------------------- t , Clg S—VIEW`DETAIL CROSS- DETAIL DE`I'AgL;` TYPICAL " ' 'EXISTING-W QCKAGE 'PROPOSED DQCkAGE^° RAILING I (Proposed) JW'--20 -2.0'+ EXISTING CANTILEVERED ; !'i__: -= PLATFORM - , (3.0'x 5.0'±) _IC,L NOV 2 j { F 1 PROPOSED j 8 2013 t ( xlstJj _..t.._ t 8 I t CANTILEVERED { i EXISTING 1 PLATFORM PROPOSED ACCESS RAMP ; o (4.0'x 5.0'±) ACCESS RAMP - --- 1 m 1 (2.0'x 10.0'±) 1 0 2 (3.0'x 15.0'±) ® in : it in R PROPOSED VERTICAL ; 0 STAYS•Metal Cables ' o o (Maintains Floating Dock Elevation @ 2.5' ; T ' N nunimally above underwater grade) 70 CIS EXISTING ` o a FLOATING DOCK , (5.0'x 16.0'±) ; ;,j ' -. ° ......... .... .,,.s.:..=ter w:T -•--- '' r. Specifications are as follows: (a) BULKHEAD RECONSTRUCTION: The existing bulkhead measures 175.0' ± in overall length, and is comprised of Timber Sheathing (2" x 9"T&G),Timber Walers(6"x 6" @ 2 tiers),Timber Pilings(8" (0),Timber Top Cap(2"x 8"). The existing backing system is unknown. The new bulkhead will measure 175.0' ± in overall length, and is to be comprised of Vinyl Sheathing (i.e., C-Loc or similar), Timber Walers (6" x 6" @ 2 tiers), Timber Clamps (6" x 6" @ 2 tiers), Timber Pilings (8" (P), Timber Top Cap (2" x 18"), all tied via a Backing System consisting of Deadmen & Lay-Logs (6" 0). All backfill will be from the resultant excavation of the existing bulkhead and area of restorative dredging. No additional fill is planned to be deposited onto the property. (b) RESTORATIVE DREDGING: The section of underwater lands seaward of the existing bulkhead have built up to the point of being detrimental to boat navigation. Consequently, during the proposed bulkhead restoration, an area measuring 15.0'x 100.0' along the bulkhead is to be dredged(via back hoe from the uplands)to a underwater depth not to exceed—2.5'±as measured from ALW. The dredged lands will be utilized as backfill along the landward side of the bulkhead reconstruction. (c) DOCK RECONSTRUCTION & RECONFIGURATION: The existing dockage consists of a cantilevered Platform (3' x 5'), a Hinged Ramp (2' x 10') and a Floating Dock (5' x 16'). The property had benefited from a Town of Southold Board of Trustees Permit ' ( o. 4 permitting the maintenance approval to maintain existing dockage that consisted of a cantilevered Platform(4' x 4'), a Hinged Ramp (3' x 8'), Main Floating Dock (5' x 15) and Secondary Floating Dock(4' x 20'). The proposed reconstruction&reconfiguration is to consist of a cantilevered Platform(4' x 5'), two (2) Hinged Ramps (3"x 15' @ either side of the Platform) and two (2) Floating Docks (5' x 15' @ either end of each Hinged Ramp) secured by two (2) sets of Pilings per Floating Dock (4 total @ 8" 0). Proposed Vertical Stays (Metal Cables) are 'to be utilized to maintain the Floating Dock's elevation at a minimum of 2.5' above underwater grade. (c) DOCK RECONSTRUCTION & RECONFIGURATION: The existing dockage consists of a cantilevered Platform(3' x 5'), a Hinged Ramp (2' x 10') and a Floating Dock (5' x 16'). The property had benefited from a Town of Southold Board of Trustees Permit (No.464)permitting the maintenance approval to maintain existing dockage that consisted of a cantilevered Platform (4' x 4'), a Hinged Ramp (3' x 8'),Main Floating Dock (5' x 15') and Secondary Floating Dock(4' x 20'). The proposed reconstruction&reconfiguration is to consist of a cantilevered Platform(4' x 5'), two (2)Hinged Ramps (3' x 15' @ either side of the Platform) and two (2) Floating Docks (5' x 15' @ either end of each Hinged Ramp) secured by two (2) sets of Pilings per Floating Dock (4 total @ 8" (P). Proposed Vertical Stays (Metal Cables) are to be utilized to maintain the Floating Dock's elevation at a minimum of 2.5' above underwater grade.
